Indian Affairs
There is a lot planned for AIA at the 2010 Conclave!
Classes:
Porky Roach Construction: Ever wonder how ceremonial roaches are made? Not sure about their use, history, or where to obtain the materials to create one? If yes, this class is for you! There will be hands-on participation, skilled instruction, and knowledgeable discussion on the topic!
Dance: For the beginner or the expert! There will be different style breakouts and a look into regalia use. Participants will also be encouraged to participate in a section wide Pow-Wow at Conclave!
Drum and Sing Session: Great class for anyone who has never had the opportunity to sing or drum with a professional trainer! Whether you just want to beat on the drum, or want to learn the deeper significance, come experience the magic of our Order in the shape of song!
Ceremonies: Whether you’re brand new to the order or a NOAC trained ceremonialist, everyone is welcome at our ceremonies session! Learn basic ceremonial essentials, experience the deeper meanings of the characters, and get advanced tips from experts in the field! All participants will have the chance to have competitive fun at the Section wide-ceremonial competition! Get critiqued and hone your skills at this years’ Conclave!
Program:
Pow-Wow: Everyone is welcome to watch or throw on regalia and experience the magic of Dance! A professional drum team will lead what will be an event that you won’t be soon to forget! Awards will be given to every participant!
Ceremony Competition: Ever been in a section-wide ceremony competition? Now’s your chance! Professional judicators will critique and help you to define your style and skills! Whether you’re reading from a script or reciting Meteu’s legend from memory, everyone is welcome and will be awarded! Get together and practice the Pre-Ordeal, Brotherhood, or Vigil ceremony and show your best this year at Conclave! The winner of the Brotherhood Ceremony will have the honor of performing the Section Brotherhood ceremony on Saturday night!
