Planning for 2010 in full swing!

On January 8th and 9th the Section W3N Council of Chief gathered in Vacaville to begin planning conclave for 2010. Friday night started with a discussion on this year's Conclave theme, which ended in the decision on "Allowat and the Order of the Phoenix", and a great game of lazer tag. The next morning the COC was back in action at 8am with Section Officer reports, where we heard about Ben LeRoy's amazing journey to Dallas and and the National Officers election. The budget for the 2010 operational year and the Conclave budget. The John Mattern Memorial Campership was expended to two $250 Campership, and the COC decided to work with Section W3S on an Indian Village for the Northern California Jamboree. The COC retreat finished with a report form all the Conclave Vice-Chiefs on their plans for 2010. The COC is very excited and looking forward to seeing you all at Camp Masonite Navarro on September 17-19!

New National Leadership

All the Section Chiefs from accross the nation gathered in Dallas Texas on December 27 for the National Planning Meeting where the 2010 National Officers were elected. We are proud to announce the election of Fred Gross from Colorado as the 2010 Western Region Chief, Will Swingle National Vice-Chief, and Brad Lichota National Chief. We are sure all the new National Officers will have a fantastic year, and we wish them safe travels and hope to see them at Conclave this year!

2009 Conclave huge success

On September 18-20, 2009 our section had an amazing Conclave that almost 400 Arrowmen participated. Friday night kicked off with an opening show and introduction of the national chief, Jack O’Neill, national vice-chief, Dan Higham, and western region chief, Dave Harrell. The night continued with lots of free stuff and a welcome from each conclave vice-chief.

Saturday started off with some great training under the leadership of Anthony Colombo. Some of the training sessions included public speaking, patch trading, Dutch Oven cooking and much, much more. After a great lunch all the Arrowmen got the opportunity to participate in athletic competitions, Indian dance, ceremony evaluation and the midway.

At 5 PM all the youth Arrowmen gathered for the annual Section Business meeting where the 2009-10 section officers were elected. The results of the election were: Ben LeRoy, Section Chief, Trevor Woodward, Section Vice-Chief, and Michael Millerick, Secretary. At the conclusion of the elections, everyone enjoyed a great dinner and headed to the gym for the theme show. After the show, the Section’s Live Patch auction took place where Arrowmen had the opportunity to add to their patch collection by bidding on some amazing patch. Conclave wrapped on Sunday morning with a Recognition Show for all the hard work that went into this year’s Conclave, and the song of our order.

The 2009 Section leadership would like to thank everyone who came to this year’s conclave and made it the success it was. They would also like to give a big thanks to the 3 national officers that took the time out of their busy schedules to be at Conclave. Lastly, a great big thanks to Ut-In Selica Lodge who did an amazing job as this year’s host lodge! See you all next year!
